Watching: Planet Earth (along with the fellow 12 million people in the UK. If you haven’t seen it yet, errr why!?!)
Reading: Year of Yes, Shonda Rhimes. After seeing it reviewed left, right and centre, this book has been on my reading list for a while. After the two, frankly depressing, books I have read as of late, I knew I wanted to read something upbeat. This book certainly fits that criteria, as it tells the story of how Shonda Rhimes (writer of Greys Anatomy, Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder) started saying yes to every opportunity. You don’t’ have to be familiar with her work to read it, but it certainly helps to understand the references. Truly funny, clever and inspiring this is in the ranking for one of the best books I have read this year!
Listening: Regina Spektor. After learning she was playing in London this week, but the tickets being so god damn expensive, it made me turn to her amazing back catalogue as well as listen to her new album.
Cooking: Gnocchi and Tomato Bake
Baking: Sadly still no baking for me at home, but in the test kitchen this week at work I made a chocolate and lime cake.
Visiting: BBC Good Food Show: London Olympia . Last week, me and my friend Kat took advantage of the free tickets I received and had a wonder around, sampling all the incredible food on offer. We also watched Nadiya (from the Bake Off) and Tom Kerridge live on stage, who are both absolute babes btw!
Loving: No longer having to get up and do a London commute. London I think your brilliant but my god, the commute is definitely your worst feature.
Best moment of the week: Booking our trip to Mexico for our friends wedding. In April 2018 mine and Davids good friends are heading off to Mexico to tie the knot and as it’s a very exclusive invitation list (only 20 guests!) we are both honoured to make the cut. Plus its in a luxury resort, so not only we will be seeing our friends get married, we will be in sunning it up in Mexio for two weeks!
