Wonderful Wednesday #25

I may be bunged up and suffering from a full blown head cold, but that isn’t going to stop me from gushing about the fabulous past seven days! I missed out on documenting the wonderfulness last week, as university had me feeling all kinds of worn out, but as I approach the end of term, the craziness is dying down a bit and I can start to get my life back in order (after I have shifted this damned cold…)

Brighton & Catch-ups

On Saturday I ventured down to Brighton for the day to catch up with an old university friend. The weather was glorious, we had a scrummy lunch at a Japanese place and a lovely explore of all the best places that Brighton has to offer. Brighton pier was fantastic; the smell of freshly made doughnuts and the sound of cheesy 90’s music blasting all around, possibly made it my favourite place on earth.

Home-made soup

On Sunday I could fill that I had a cold developing, so knowing that future me with a cold absolutely hates cooking, I decided to make big batches of soup to be eaten throughout the week. Now I am future me with a head cold, I am oh so grateful for old me being so well organised. Home-made pea and mint & minestrone are definitely keeping me all warm and toasty.

Organising Pinterest

It tends to be this time of year, with upcoming deadlines and exams, that I start getting heavily distracted by Pinterest. As I have been furiously pinning away, I decided to sort out the mess that was my Pinterest boards; a very therapeutic way to spend a Sunday afternoon! (Check out my Pinterest here and let me know yours!)

Honey & Lemon

Ahh yes, the only thing that has been soothing my poor throat the past two days. I don’t rely on any of this Lempsip nonsense, just straight up honey and lemon is where it is at!

Last Week of Term

I wrote a blog post about how this is my last week of university, and with only exams now in my way, a massive weight has been lifted. Yay for no more boring lectures and awkward seminars!

These ‘Wonderful Wednesdays’ you have seen scattered all over the bloggersphere have been inspired by the lovely Sally Tangle.  If you want to read more then check out Jo,  Michelle, Kate, Cat, Sam, El, and Kerri‘s blogs and let us keep this cycle of happiness and good intentions spinning!

Brighton sounds glorious. Another town to be put on my must visit list. Well done past Lynsey for the soup making. Hope you can tackle this cold quickly. I swear by honey and lemon, but my flatmates hate it!

  • Aw I hope you get well soon! There’s nothing a good pot of nourishing soup cant fix, or at least help for comfort 🙂

I loved Brighton, and have to agree that it’s up there as being one of my favourite places I’ve visited. Despite being covered in a weird fog the day I went, I just loved the cheerful and festive atmosphere!

Hope you’re feeling better now! Glad to hear you enjoyed Brighton as much as I did! Did you make it to the Lanes? C x
