Wonderful Wednesday #30

Why hello Wonderful Wednesday-ers it’s been a long ole time since I tip-tapped one of these out!  I didn’t completely go off the grid, with scheduled posts, the odd retweet and Instagram post here and there, but it does feel like an absolute age since I’ve sat down at my laptop and spent time actually writing something meaningful.

Life has been choc-a-block for the past five weeks, not only have I gone and finished four years of university *cheers from the crowd* but I also went on a MEGA road trip around the glorious Bavaria and Austria. Now, I’m caught in limbo as graduate job hunting commences, and with it quite literally howling outside from all the wind and rain, I am having serious holiday blues. In any case, I wanted to share the wonderful moments of the past few weeks as  I have been spoilt with such absolute wonderfulness lately.

Finishing University

Probably the most fabulous moment for me over the past couple of weeks is finishing university once and for all. And what a last day to have. With a two-hour exam in the morning and a three-hour exam in the afternoon (on a Saturday may I add!), by the end, my brain was a scrambled mess of all sorts of quotes and theories. Me and the boyf planned a ‘wild night out’ to celebrate, but due to how completely unwild we actually are and the fact I was absolutely knackered from the many hours of exams (did I mention it was five hours?!!?), the night ended at 8pm tucked in bed watching Greys. Probably not how most students end their time at university, but for me it was pretty darn great.

Moving Out

Once exams had finished the next agenda was to move out of university accommodation. Leaving my dingy, messy,  and completely over-priced house was probably the best part about finishing. As a notorious clean-freak living with other people is just not for me and I am so happy to be back in the comfort of my own home.

ROADTRIP!

I plan on sharing more detailed blog posts in the future about my incredible adventure around Germany and Austria, where to go, what to see and most importantly what to eat, but here I just want to gush about my fantastic time. We spent four days travelling around Bavaria and the final three in Austria and every single day was pure perfection.

I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to some beautiful places, but for me this far excedeed my expecations and ticked so many boxes. Mountains, lakes, cities, fairy-tale castles, countryside and postcard perfect towns. Gah I could go on all day. If you’ve never considered a road-trip before, do it, it’s an absolute dream.

    Congrats on finishing uni!

That roadtrip sounds amazing. The castle on that first picture is the most beautiful thing ever – kinda looks like the famous Disney fairytale castle! Can’t wait to see/hear more about your adventures 🙂 x

  • Well done, you! I did an Open University degree that was 5 years long and laugh in everyone’s faces when they ask if I’d consider doing another one. Also, that castle is incredible! Can’t wait to hear more about your trip. Here’s to the rest of your life – the best is yet to come,

    • What did you do your degree in? I also laugh if anyone asks if Im considering doing a Masters. HELL NO.

      • It was Literature, or as I call it, How To Take The Pleasure Out Of Reading. I’m being somewhat flippant and I’m glad I did it but as to tackling another one? Nah.
