After finishing exams, going on a road-trip and moving back home, I thought I’d have a lot more time to myself, to spend with friends, working on the blog and baking. Turns out I underestimated how busy I would be, with two part-time jobs, graduate job hunting and catching up with forgotten life admin, taking up most of my time. Not that I am complaining, of course, but I do need to make more time to squeeze in more wonderful moments. That being said, here are some of the best moments over the past few weeks, and there have been some cracking ones.
I GOT A 2:1 !!!
First things first, I only bloody well got a 2:1 !!! After four hella long years, all the stress, tears and late nights paid off and I couldn’t be more pleased; I actually cried when I found out. There were many many moments where I was going to pack it all in and just drop out, but I stuck with it and I did it. A 2-bloody-1!
Remember that heatwave we had last week?! Nuts to think that that actually happened if you consider the weather today, but it did and I spent my day off in our friends back garden, cider in hand getting up to all sorts of mischief in the paddling pool. Life tip: make friends with someone who has kids so you can hang out in their paddling pool.
Catch Ups with Friends
Since being back and not having any revision to do (ahhh the freedom!!), I’ve spent time catching up with friends, going on coffee dates, playdates, dinner dates and walking the dog-dates. After living like a hermit for the past two months, it’s been so refreshing to spend time with all my favourite people; catching up with each other’s lives and putting the world to rights.
Bonfires on the beach
Being blessed with an abundance of beautiful coastlines, I took full advantage with the heatwave last week and suggested that the boyf and I go have a mini-bonfire somewhere. With deck chairs, blankets and cushions in tow, we walked down to a beautiful place called Greencliff, made a fire and watched as the sun dipped below the sea. Sheer perfection.
