Wonderful Wednesday || July

I’m just gonna say it. This July has probably been my FAVOURITE EVER. So *so much* has happened this month, from new opportunities, lots of food and plenty of adventure!

This months Wonderful Wednesday is JAM packed, so lets dive in…

Exciting opportunities I’ve been quite unhappy with my job for a little while, so as soon as I passed my driving test I promised myself I would get on with the job search ASAP. Well, after applying for a few different positions, I was offered a position as events assistant for Riverford! I’m so excited to start something new, be part of a bigger team and work for a company I really feel passionately about!

Crumpets! July is the month I have become *obsessed* with crumpets. They make the perfect snack or weekend breakfast – warm, toasted crumpets slathered in salted butter? Oooft.

Gavin & Stacey After so many times of my friend telling me to watch it, I finally gave in and started watching Gavin & Stacey. NOW. Why on earth did it take me so bloody long? It is *hilarious*. Pam and Ness are my faaaaaves. OH.

Romantic date nights with friends Probably the most romantic date I’ve ever had (more romantic then I have ever had with David), one sunny evening me and my friend got a take-away curry, drove down to the coast and set up our blanket on the cliffs. The weather was dreamy, food *delicious* and the company brilliant (hi Connie!). I need to get myself down to the coast more often and take advantage of the beautiful sunny evenings – it was so dreamy!

Naps I am the absolute QUEEN of naps and I have been taken SO many naps over the past month, with all this hot weather completely knocking me for six. I always seem to find I sleep better and deeper when I have a nap too. Having a summer siesta, under a soft sheet with the fan going?! BLISS.

Laura visits! The lovely Laura from Middle of Adventure ventured all the way down to Devon to visit me which was bloody MARVELLOUS. I made sure to show off the best that North Devon has to offer and Devon was looking particularly sexy the weekend Laura visited. We headed over Hartland, Clovelly, Appledore, Westward Ho!, Instow and Morethoe. It was busy. But SO much fun! It’s so nice to show off my little part of the world and spend time with another foodie, blogging, photo-obsessive like myself!

Glee I wanted to watch something easy peasy to watch for after work, so settled on re-watching Glee. I was OBSESSED with Glee when I was at school and it is so funny to watch it back now as an adult. I saw a tweet the other day that summed up my sentiments *exactly*. ‘Watching Glee as an adult makes you realise Sue is dead right and Mr Schu is a nonce’.

Instagram By a surprising turn of events, I have become somewhat interested in Instagram again. Which is bloody typical considering hardly anyone is using it anymore due to it being summer and a gazillion degrees outside. I’m really enjoying planning out my captions and pictures, sharing my favourite accounts and posts from the Instagram community and creating story highlights of my week. I mean, I’m still never going to be fully committed to the gram because WHO HAS THE ENERGY, however I am taking full advantage of my new found Instagram motivation! (follow me!?).

Table Manners Absolutely bloody obsessed with this podcast at the moment, I find Jessie Ware and her mum such warm and funny interviewers. I particularly enjoyed the Ottolenghi episode as well as Michelle Keegans. Listening to people talking so passionately about food is such a treat! If you are a podcast addict like myself, read my posts on podcasts I would recommend!

What wonderful moments have been filling up your July?
